With dates and figs, moisture and infestation control decide whether a lot reaches the shelf in grade. Before a shipment is confirmed we align variety, size, moisture, treatment and packaging with your specification sheet, and document it on the certificate of analysis that travels with the goods.

  • Food-safety complianceLots supplied against EU limits for aflatoxin and ochratoxin A (critical for figs), pesticide residues and sulphites, with lab reports on request.
  • Moisture & disinfestationDates 18–35% and figs 18–24% moisture depending on variety; every lot fumigated, heat-treated or frozen before storage so it arrives free of insect activity.
  • Packaging to your lineRetail trays and boxes under your label, 5–10 kg bulk cartons with PE liner, 12.5 kg paste blocks, vacuum packs or IBC for syrup.

We buy directly from packing houses in Iran, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the Turkish Aegean, and consolidate through the Port of Rotterdam — Europe's largest food-import gateway. Reefer or ambient, one supplier, one set of documents and one delivery, however many origins are in the container.

Dates & figs wholesale — frequently asked.

What is the minimum order quantity for dates and dried figs?

For most varieties the practical minimum is one pallet (around 500–1,000 kg) per item, which can be combined with other Plusimpex products into a mixed container. Full container loads receive the most competitive pricing, and reefer containers are used for Medjool and Mazafati.

Which date varieties do you supply and from where?

Medjool (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, USA), Deglet Nour (Tunisia, Algeria), Mazafati, Sayer, Zahedi, Piarom and Kabkab (Iran), Sukkari and Ajwa (Saudi Arabia) on request. Origin and variety are always stated on the offer and on the documents.

Do you supply Aegean (Turkish) dried figs and in which sizes?

Yes. Our figs come mainly from Aydın in the Turkish Aegean, with Iranian and Greek origins available. Sizes run from 1 (largest, about 25 pieces/kg) to 8 (smallest), in Lerida, Protoben, garland and bulk presentations, including EU-certified organic.

How should dates and figs be stored and how long do they keep?

Soft, high-moisture dates such as Medjool and Mazafati should be held chilled (0–5 °C) and keep 12 months, or frozen for longer. Semi-dry Deglet Nour, Sayer and Zahedi and dried figs can be stored ambient in a cool, dry warehouse for 12 months. Full guidance is in our date storage guide.

Can you supply date paste, fig paste or date syrup for industry?

Yes. Date paste and fig paste are supplied in 10–12.5 kg vacuum blocks or cartons, and date syrup in drums or IBC. Tell us the Brix, moisture and particle size your line needs and we will match the specification.

Do you deliver outside the Netherlands?

Yes — we ship throughout the EU, the UK, Scandinavia and the Gulf. Quotes are given on your preferred Incoterm and we can arrange chilled or ambient transport to your warehouse under DAP or DDP.
